Though Brokeback missed the Best Film Award but Ang Lee claimed Best Director Award for the Cowboy Romance ‘Brokeback Mountain’. While holding his Oscar firmly he said “Well, I wish I knew how to quit you.”



He said that the entire team of Brokeback learned so much about the love relationship of gays and lesbians which are as true and important as love itself but are not accepted by our society.



At Golden Globes and Directors Guild of America too Ang Lee was given away the award for Best Director for his tale of gay romance.
