I am pleased to see Beyonce Knowles’s image donning the cover of this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. This is another high note for Beyonce. Prior to this the singer was named the most desirable woman by men’s site Askmen.com.

The Dreamgirls star posed on a Florida beach in bikini designed by House of Dereon, the fashion label she started with her mother, Tina Knowles.

The 25-year old singer-actress becomes only the second black woman to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Tyra was the first in 1996(shared) and 1997.

‘The Dreamgirl As You’ve Never Seen Her,’ a cover headline teases. There’s is also photo spread inside.

The 2007 swimsuit edition continues with a music theme inside, featuring scantily-clad models posing with Kanye West, Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At the Disco.
