It’s snowing relentlessly back in England right now so soccer star David Beckham took a trip to Africa just so he could play ball topless. Of course the tab for the trip was picked by the UNICEF what with Becks being their Goodwill Ambassador and all.

The star also dropped by a UNICEF-sponsored home for newborns in the town of Mangorea in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone before heading out for a friendly game with the local team.

And though the official reason for the visit is stated to be raising awareness for the cause of child survival, just watching those buff local players I get the sneaky feeling that Becks might be more interested in knowing how they got those rock-hard abs made instead!
