Despite their staggeringly different religious beliefs, Jennifer Lopez has expressed desire to have Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise to be her twins’ godfather.
Lopez, who gave birth to twins - son Max and daughter Emme - on February 22- apparently thinks nothing of Tom’s controversial religious faith Scientology and has even convinced hubby Marc Anthony to give the deal a go-ahead. According to a source close to the couple,
Tom is delighted. Marc wasn’t even sure if it was a good idea to have a scientologist as the kids’ godfather, especially as he and Jennifer are both catholic. But in the end Jennifer managed to convince him to agree.
One can only guess that the generous offer might have something to do with the fact that Tom, along with wife Katie Holmes, has already showered the fraternal twins with bedazzling gifts, including designer christening outfits worth $200,000, a giant fish tank for their nursery and the complete Disney DVD box sets.
