Finally the search for the host of 78th Oscar Award is over. Official announcement is not made as yet but most probably it would be Jon Stewart, the Emmy-winning writer-host of “The Daily Show” and host of Grammy Awards for two subsequent years.
In a year when many flicks having social and political themes are in the contenders list, Jon is the right men for the job as taunting political humor of his show on Comedy Central Figures is fantastic.
Jon Stewart appeared in very few films as he loves hosting shows but some of them like The Office Party and Death to Smoochy were Oscar material.
Chris Rock who hosted the show last year was not asked to make a comeback and Billy Crystal who hosted Osacr’s for eight times declined the offer because of his busy schedule. There were some rumors about negotiations with Steve Martin and Whoopi Goldberg for the same.
