Anna Nicole Smith’s body can be released and can now be given a burial, a California judge said Wednesday.
She died after collapsing in a casino hotel room last week, aged 39.
Since DNA has been taken from her body, Anna’s body will be released to whoever wins the custody of her 5-month-old daughter Dannielynn.
The former Playboy Playmate’s ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead is fighting to prove he is the father of Smith’s baby Dannielynn. Whereas Smith’s partner and lawyer Howard K Stern, whose name is on the birth certificate, claims to be the father of Dannielyn alongside Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband- Prince Fredric Von Anhalt.
Now Anna Nicole Smith’s bodyguard Alex Denk also claims that he is the daddy.
Bizarrely, Anna Nicole’s sister also thinks Dannielynn could be the result of the preserved sperm of the oil giant J. Howard Marshall with whom Smith controversially married in 1994. Huh! What a mess??
The child remains in the Bahamas, where Smith had lived. In addition to the fight over the baby, Smith’s estranged mother has said she will go to court to gain custody of her daughter’s body from Stern.
There’s also reportedly a legal document claiming Anna Nicole dangerously starved her daughter Dannielynn because ’she wanted her baby to be ’sexy’.’
Still the death cause of a former stripper is not clear.
