Katie Holmes has just realized that her Hollywood dream is not hitting it well. In order to reinvigorate her gloomy career, she has chosen to step into theater now. Broadway seems to be her current choice. Battling with a failing career, her last movie Mad Money didn’t quite make it big at the box office. According to one of her friends, Katie is feeling really low about her career’s progress and hence, has made some serious decisions regarding the same. The hit TV show Dawson’s Creek made her career graph zoom with progress but it seems that her marriage with Tom Cruise has resulted in the shift of focus from her acting abilities to her marriage. Tom’s obsession with Scientology seems to embarrass Katie and her choice of marrying a superstar has, I think, back fired her plans of hitting it to the top in Hollywood. She is no more a sex symbol and is reduced to the stature of Tom Cruise’s wife. Her friend says,
Katie had pretty good reviews for the movies she did before she met Tom and she was certain that her marriage to him would secure her future as a Hollywood big hitter.In fact, the opposite’s happened.
Well, she has sure taken inspiration from actresses who reshaped their career by starting afresh with theater. Maybe, her husband’s ex-wife Nicole Kidman furnished her with the inspiration. Nicole appeared in theater in The Blue Room, winning a Theatre World Award. Nonetheless, we hope that this bright young lady is not quite lost to the woes of ‘marriage’dom and we see more of her in the coming years. Lets really wish that Broadway actually helps her in rebuilding her career.
