Kylie Minogue immortalized in bronze statue

The 39-year old Aussie songbird Kylie Minogue is the only person other than the Queen to be modelled four times at Madame Tussauds and was the first ever first ’scented waxwork’ figure in the London museum.

Pop star has now been immortalized in a new bronze life-size statue to be unveiled at Melbourne’s today.

Melbourne sculptor Peter Corlett created this new statue of Kylie’s that took almost three months to produce. Corlett is said to be inspired by pop singer’s Showgirl tour to create a figure that displayed the ‘ultimate Kylie.’

Minogue’s bronze life-size likeness, complete with lace body stocking and red high heels, will stand alongside fellow Aussie entertainment greats Graham Kennedy and John Farnham in a Hollywood-style Walk of Fame. The unveiling at Waterfront City comes on the eve of the release of her new album, ‘X,’ tomorrow.
