Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia spoke out for the first time of her rapport with politician Lembit Opik. Pop star Irimia claims that it was ‘love at first sight,’ and has been dating Liberal Democrat MP for the last two weeks. Lembit recently broke off his engagement to TV weather presenter Sian Llyod.
Irimia and Lembit first met at Channel Five’s All-Star Talent Show two months ago. Irimia told GMTV,
Everything is true - all I can say is it was love at first sight. We were talking for two hours and the time flew. Our first date was to the Science Museum - very romantic actually. I didn’t go to the Science Museum before, so I found it quite interesting to have a first date there.
She added: ‘Our relationship is really genuine and it’s not out of a pantomime or anything like that.’ Irimia even expressed her views about Lembit’s six-year old relationship with Lloyd, she said,
I don’t know Sian, I only saw her on the TV, she’s a very attractive woman. I can understand her situation because everybody who came out of a really long relationship would be hurt but I’m sure she will be happy.
The sisters’ mother and manager, Margit, said Mr. Opik had been a “little bit shy” when he first visited the family home but he had got on well with their Irish wolfhound dog, Rocky.
