The latest controversy raging in the entertainment world is that revolving around L’Oreal and Beyonce Knowles. Popular newspaper The New York Post has brought in the charges claiming that the company has attempted to alter the singer’s complexion, giving her an almost blond look in a recent advertisement. Seven years back Beyonce signed on the dotted line making it clear she would not allow for any alterations to be made to her appearance. L’Oreal, however, had no such intention and took a step further to ‘whitewash’ Beyonce’s skin. The New York Post called the entire incident ’shocking’ and garnered the support of many who joined in the protests.

As a consequence to the episode, L’Oreal has come forward to state that the charges are completely untrue. According to the company,

It is categorically untrue that L’Oreal Paris altered Ms. Knowles’ features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria hair color.

What is left for us to see is whether a real fall-out takes place.
