Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood venture threatens to be a big flop. The $55 million building built on the site of a former parking lot, next to the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, opened with a disappointing inauguration. The Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa unveiled two brand new wax figures at the ceremony - that of Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx, and surprisingly enough, the former was way below Tussaud’s usual standards! Beyonce’s dummy is arranged in an odd position, the hair itself isn’t made of quality material, the face bears no striking resemblance with hers and the whole set-up carries a distinct out-of-place look! The waxen look-alike is, in fact, a thoroughly cheap affair in all, and a severe blow to the “perfection” tag attached to Madame Tussaud’s. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Beyonce voices her disapproval to the museum authorities about this disappointing doppelganger! That’s what happens when wax goes wrong!
